The Classical Period of Music, from 1750 – 1820, includes greats like Mozart, Beethoven & Hayden. Exploring this unique era of musical history, we’ll become familiar with some of their great work and explore the times and prevalent styles. We’ll add to last year’s Baroque lapbook if you participated last year, or if this is your first composer study, you’ll leave with a well-documented keepsake that reflects what we’ve been learning. Games & snacks will be part of our time together and on our last day, we’ll plan on a mini showcase of what we did. Musical & Non-musical Friends Welcome.
With buckets & cups providing part of our instrumentation, we’ll be creating, reading and making our own music as we join in ensemble together. Lots of activity with high participation! Pass rhythm levels and reach the top! Friends are welcome. Needs a minimum of 4 to run.
For High School Only and with approval to participate.
Hour-long bi-weekly rehearsals. Anticipating June 2, 16, 30, July 28, August 11 and 18, but days & times could flex depending on participant’s schedule. A summer ending Stoneridge performance will be the final goal.
