You're baking & cooking, shopping & wrapping & I'm sure your lists are long. We've already been & will continue to celebrate the birth of Jesus, but soon 2021 will be behind us. What a year it's been, but thank you for the way you have contributed to making Forte Piano successful & moving ahead into the New Year.
Please remember piano lessons will continue through next Tuesday, December 21 and will resume Monday, January 3, 2022. Enjoy the time off as I'm sure you have abundant family fun planned.
There will be no Mini-Musician classes next week (not even the Tuesday class).
Looking ahead into January, some of you realized there is a group piano day on Saturday, January 8. That's not far away & is for every Forte piano students. These meetings are optional & incur no extra cost for you, however they are profitable & recommended for all students. I have divided students into 5 groups so that everyone can be involved in level appropriate work.
I understand that for siblings it would be convenient to have the family all at the same time. Some of the time that worked. Other times, it wasn't as workable so they are split. If that is an issue, please let's discuss it to see how to move around times.

Some groups will have opportunity to play selections for each other. If you were with Forte for over two years you remember when we used rhythm cups but we never got to finish & use them in a recital. It's time to dust them off & get them moving again so groups will also be engaged with lots of rhythm during our group time. Hope you can come! You can let me know now if that works or I'll be bugging you after New Year about your intentions to participate or not.
Our Spring Recital is months away but let me give you a heads up about how we'll be doing that. Last year we held essentially two recitals in the same evening. For this year we'll keep the Thursday evening, April 28 but also add Friday, April 29 that we'll ideally have half playing each evening.
In the meantime, several of our seniors are already prepping for a Senior Recital coming middle of March.
