It's Recital Week!!

Updated: Aug 21, 2019

Hi Everyone!

It's Recital Week!  It has been exciting to watch you all prepare and it will be fantastic to hear you all play on Thursday evening!  I've been listening to some great music from you!

A bunch of notes:

  1. We start at 7:00 on Thursday evening.  10 Minutes early gives you time to get your names in the prize basket for the drawings at the end.

  2. If you would like to try the piano ahead of time, it's a great idea if you're interested.  No warm-ups or tests after 6:45.  Arrive anytime after 6:15.  First come, first serve.

  3. Don't forget your music!

  4. For students:  please avoid shorts or jeans.  Look nice!  You've prepared well so look the part.

  5. You should look for two puzzles/activities that could be accomplished as you listen & watch. For anyone interested, young or old.

  6. Your program will reveal who won the cover contest!

  7. This year there will be someone taking pictures of each student as they play.  If you are interested in getting an email copy of that shot, there will be a sign-up sheet at the welcome table for you to make that request.  No charge.

  8. As we have done in the past, we'll get a group shot at the end of the night.

  9. I will also have a sheet for parents/guardians to sign granting permission (or not) for me to use some of those pictures or videos on the website, facebook or other media & advertising outlets.  To avoid the sending home and having-to-bring-back kind of deal, it would be handy for you to sign it Thursday evening.

  10. Refreshments at the end.  Hoping you'll be able to stay a few minutes.

  11. There's still time to invite Grandma or friends!

See you at lessons this week, then at the recital.  OOhhh, I've plenty of anticipation!!
