I’m Donna LaRue and I began my own piano lessons at 6 years of age and haven’t stopped since. I studied music in college, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in music education, and later, once teaching, acquired a Master’s Degree in elementary education. I look forward to meeting with you and assisting you in your musical journey. Talk with you soon!
My first teaching was in the classroom with middle school students, but also included high school and elementary too. After our first child was born I left the classroom to raise our children and began accepting piano students in my home.
That first studio grew and remained for 10 years before that was closed to accept a position as a worship & music director in my local church. But the piano lessons came back in full force in 2016 when I was in a better position to build and grow a fuller schedule. This is when Forte Piano Studio was born.
Today I am still learning and excited to grow with new music, methods, styles & ways of learning. It is my desire to encourage lifelong music learners and get to know the students fully.
I’m giving my all and discovering so much while I’m at it. I’m thankful for you, the students & parents, who push me and help me learn, for the energy you bring, for the practice you give and for the relationships we build. I am sure that as we work together, we’ll experience some wonderful growth and progress as we make music. If you have concerns, please talk with me, call, or write. If you’re pleased with the development of your student, tell your neighbors and just maybe you’ll see them coming in while you’re going out from your own lesson!
